Check-in is 3:00 p.m, and check-out is 11:00 a.m.
Early check-in and late check-out are based on availability. Please make arrangements for early arrival or late check-out in advance.
We don’t offer a shuttle service, but travelers are cared for by a wonderful collection of Juneau taxis, as well as Ubers and Lyfts. It’s a short drive and we guarantee you’ll arrive safe and sound.
You’re in Alaska, but that doesn’t mean you’re cut off from the world! Free high-speed WiFi is always available to guests – whether for work or play.
We offer limited private parking. We’re happy to host your vehicle for $24 a night. They deserve sweet dreams, too!
Yes, we have a locked storage locker available for your precious cargo.
Little one traveling with you? No problem! Many rooms can accommodate our Pack and Play. Just right for tiny guests.
Each guestroom has a slightly different lighting configuration. Overhead lights for the guest room, bedrooms, and bathrooms are on a wall switchplate next to the doorway for each respective space. Tasklights, desklights, and lamps will either have a knob or switch on the fixture or cord. We’re here to help; current guests can text the Silverbow team anytime (pictures too!) if help is needed.

In Juneau, there is a 5% sales tax and 9% bed tax.
Yes, guests must be 21 years of age or older to check in.
At the close of the cancellation window, the credit card on file will be charged for the full balance of the reservation. Additionally, any reservations booked through an online travel agency (Booking,com, Expedia, etc.) will need to provide a valid credit card upon check-in to be authorized to cover any incidentals.
There is one ADA accessible room on the first floor. Any potential guests should also be aware that our beautiful, historic hotel was built prior to elevators, so all other rooms are located on the second and third floors. Thankfully, there are stairs… and we are here to help!

Please contact the website where your original reservation was created to make changes to your stay. These changes will then be reflected in our system.
From May 1 to September 30, reservations must be canceled or modified seven days prior to date of arrival. From October 1 to April 30, reservations may be canceled or modified up to 24 hours prior to date of arrival. Any reservations canceled or modified after this cancellation window are considered nonrefundable and will be charged for the full balance of the reservation.
Aside from registered service dogs, pets are not allowed at the inn. Not even the cute ones.
Silverbow Hotel is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is permitted 20 feet from any entrance, in accordance with state law. If we smell smoke, we assume fire. At which point, the guest will be doused in fire extinguisher foam, Capital City Fire and Rescue will arrive, and they will be charged a substantial smoking fee.
Overnight guests can wander up toone of our three rooftop decks, featuring the warmth of either hot tubs or fire pit – social hangouts for guests and their friends, open year-round.
We are happy to assist with any recommendations for local proprietors who would be happy to accommodate such lovely requests.
All personal accounts are payable before check-in time. We gladly accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express.
Don’t worry! We have a full line of amenities including toothbrushes, shaving items, vanity kits, and more. Visit or call the front desk to request an item. There are also a number of local shops that provide travel necessities. Just ask, and we’ll point the way.
Guest laundry is available during your stay, along with complimentary detergent, irons and ironing boards. Please contact our front desk staff team for any assistance.

The communal ice machine is located on the counter in the lobby kitchen.
Coffee, espresso, and a variety of teas are available in the lobby kitchen 27/7 for your caffeine needs.
If you lose or find an item, please immediately contact the front desk for assistance.
Outbound mail may be left at the front desk for pickup. You may purchase a USPS flat rate box, as well. If you require UPS, FedEx, or international shipping, please contact the front desk for options.

For our guests’ security, the front door remains locked at all times. You’ll receive your unique entry code prior to arrival, which you can use to access the building at any time.
In an event that necessitates evacuation of Silverbow Inn, please proceed to the nearest exit as indicated on the door of your guest room, and by signage in the hallway.
Yes, we’re historic. Yes, most rooms are upstairs. And yes, in 1907 elevators were few and far between (and probably terrifying). But fear not—our team is ready to haul your luggage anywhere in the hotel, with smiles guaranteed. Think of it as a warm-up and welcome!
Children of all ages and families are welcome at the Silverbow Inn! Several of our rooms have extra sleeping spaces for families that prefer to be in the same room, and the property can place families near one another when available. There is a coloring wall and a lending library of books and games in the lobby, and kids can enjoy their favorite shows on our in-room smart TVs. Check out the Deluxe King Suite, Superior King Family Room, and the Presidential Suite for families of 4-6.
